How this works
Your browser reads the raw bytes of the file locally and parses the JPEG's EXIF segment directly — the same data a stranger could extract if you posted the original file online. Stripping re-draws the image onto a canvas and re-exports it, which discards all metadata by construction, then hands you the cleaned file to download. At no point does the image data get sent to any server, including ours.
